I did some quick research the other day and ran across an item about the 1983 AMC\/Renault Alliance as providing support for a remote that allowed you to lock and unlock the doors. But I was never a fan of AMC\u2019s cars.<\/p>\n<p>I also ran across a mention of a 1987 Cadillac Allant\u00e9, an ultimately unsuccessful attempt at building a two-seater roadster for the luxury brand. It was yet another car in which I had no interest whatsoever.<\/p>\n<p>Now I can\u2019t exactly recall the first car I purchased with one of these electronic gizmos, which are, of course, coded for a specific vehicle. It may have been a Honda Accord, but it still started conventionally. A real key popped out of the fob and the ignition assembly was traditional.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Wait!
