I am trying to figure out what is the best free OCR for windows to download but I am worried about the third party agreements ( sharing your information) that you must agree to have down loaded before you can download OCR. Any ideas on what is the best program and where to get it? Also on my travels through the internet I came across Winzip drivers up date site which seemed to fix my old Word program but I had to uninstall it when I had trouble with the OCR program. I am not sure I belong at this site in this forum but I thought I might ask.

Many scanners and all-in-ones come with their own OCR software. Did you check?

Basically, I wouldn't know about a free OCR for Windows. Sorry. But you might check the online PC magazines for recommendations.
