Gene about a month ago you had on someone from a company that sells HDTVs at a more reasonable price, but I can't remember the name of the manufacturer. I have now decided to get my wife an HDTV for her anniversary/birthday/Winter holiday of your choice present. Would you be able to post the company name and the url?

Thanks,
Aaron

The company is Vizio, and here are links to two articles I wrote about the set:

You can get more information about the company's products at www.vizioce.com and I will repeat that I recommend the product highly. It is a top-grade set at a bargain basement price.

Gene, I hope that you are enjoying WWDC. Once again I wanted to thank you. I went to my local Costco Sunday and picked up one of the Vizio sets and it is a great unit. Thanks for directing me to them.

Just a 2007 update. The 50-inch Vizio that they gave us on extended review continues to operate flawlessly. The newest version comes with a tuner, so it's no longer a monitor, but the manufacturer says it's otherwise pretty much the same.
