Apple Computer is now just Apple, signaling its expansion into the consumer electronics arena.

So what do you folks think? Is this the end of the Mac as we know it, or just a way of expanding the Mac OS into new and different environments?

The iPhone is certainly an example, since it uses Mac OS X.

My only comment about the new name is the fact that it signifies big things for apple in a wider product line that is to come. I look forward to them working their magic on many more products outside of computers. What ever they make they take the annoying aggravating issues out of the product and make it fun and easy to use. Like making the ringer off button on the phone easy to get to without going through 10 menus:)

I am still kicking myself for not buying the stock when it was $40. I thought a $400 stock purchase would never accumulate to much profit even though I new it would go up. Now I would have more than doubled my money if I had of done it. That one is going to sting for a long time.
